This is a contest entry for 's search for a Ginga villain for her fan comic!
I spent a lot of time on this profile, and I may make more adjustments later on.

Species/Breed: Serbian Hound

Personality:

A hardened war hound, Novak is a contained and calm character. His judgement has been molded around sights of murder and bloodshed, and therefore has grown to believe this is the only method of living. To fight and claim what is yours, and to obliterate any who oppose you. He is generous to any other dogs that have the will to join him and his ultimate purpose, to claim the perfect home. Novak is a manipulator and for the most part, a passive-aggressive leader. Rarely does he feel the need to cross over the line to become a murderer, but once he does, he can become near-psychotic during his acts. While also suffering a form of PTSD, Novak will switch to a different personality that is much more hostile, and addresses his comrades and lower pack members by insulting them and punishing them (even if the reason why is not clear). Novak has little room for compassion, and has felt very few heartwarming moments in his time. The fear of his instability is what keeps him his leadership, as well as convincing him that his methods are true.

Biography:

Novak was originally bred as a war dog, working during the Kosovo war. Having a close connection to his trainer while not having a specific master, Novak began life as a happy-go-lucky puppy. When he was old enough to serve, he was surprised with how different his human counterparts acted. Not only did they hardly show any affection towards him, but they also lacked any kindhearted nature for their fellow man. Novak couldn't understand why any species would fight against their own, or what kind of excuse human kind could use to justify such cruel actions. While dealing with this confusion, he continued to serve his purpose to his comrades' desire. The war ended in defeat for Serbia, and Novak returned to the military base as one of the few survivors.
Living in Serbia for several more months, Novak was then added to a trade shipment of trained dogs to be delivered for police work. As Novak was placed in a crate, they also equipped him with the armor that he had adorned during the Kosovo war. The trip lasted many weeks, starting out by truckload, and eventually the dogs were delivered by ship to Japan. By this point, Novak's confusion turned to anger. Humans hated each other, as well as any animal that was vulnerable to their treatment. He felt personally abandoned by his trainer, the closest connection to a human he held, and with no idea to where he was being taken, he feared it would lead to his death.
When Novak arrived to Japan, he was released from his crate outdoors, though rather than listening to a command, he refused to obey. The moment the humans who were responsible for his transportation began to punish him, he attacked and injured one, in the flurry of confusion set off by the other dogs towards what he had done, he made his move and escaped. His anger for man driving him, he took to living in the wilds of Japan. It astounded him just how many wild dogs existed in those unclaimed regions, and after several encounters with strays, he had formed himself a small pack, all of the members looking to him as a leader. He formed his group with the highest in the hierarchy who shared the same emotions as he towards the human race. With lower omegas, he employed those who were too naive to see his true intentions, but could hold their own in a fight and the "ultimate cause".
As the war between Ohu and Hougen's gigantic pack took place, Novak began to learn more information about the feud. Knowing just how small the Ohu pack was, he predicted that the pack would be obliterated by shear numbers. He had been searching for a location to claim his territory, and the "Dog's Paradise" sounded like the perfect spot. His decision was made, and Novak continued searching for more dogs to aide him, all the while destroying any forces that allied either Hougen's army, or Weed, Gin, and the forces of Ohu. Once both leaders would be overthrown, and Novak's pack had claimed Ohu, he would then make his plans of killing any humans that posed them a threat, so that his pack could remain in peace.
